Questions

How much are your puppies?

Each of our puppies are individually priced based on their colour, markings and coat. Please contact us if you would like to know more about the price range or want pricing information on a particular puppy.

When can I collect my puppy?

All our puppies leave under a desexing contract, they are microchipped and had at least one vaccination and been checked by the vet twice.  Puppies are usually ready around 10 weeks.

What is included when I purchase a puppy?

Every puppy receives a bed, bowl, blanket, toys, collar, lead, seatbelt, bush/comb, shampoo, conditioner, heartbeat toy and lots of food and treats. You also get an information pack and a calendar of when vaccinations and worming are due. If your pup is flying to you we provide the travel crate and post your puppy pack.

I don’t live nearby, what do I do about transport?

We organise the transport for your little pup. We do prefer flights where possible as road transport can be long and not much fun for a 10 week old puppy.

What do you feed your adult dogs and puppies?

We raw feed all our adults and puppies. We use top quality foods and supplements. We also feed some air dried and freeze dried single proteins. You are provided with samples of all the food on collection day

What are common dachshund breed characteristics?

Curious, lively, charming, and brave. Though bright and clever, Dachshunds like to do things their own way. In other words, they're stubborn. Cheerful praise and treats should be offered freely, as Dachsies are proud little dogs who resist force.

What is the history of the Dachsund breed?

Originally from Germany, the Dachshund was bred to hunt small game, predominantly badgers. The dog was required to scent, track and pursue game into burrows. The Dachshund was required to have intelligence, strength, endurance and versatility.

Do Dachshunds have major health concerns I should be aware of?

It’s important to remember that dogs of any breed can suffer from health issues throughout their lives. A good pet insurance plan can help you prepare to give your dog the care they need at any age.
